Statement from Janssen Evelyn in Support of Delegate Dr. chao Wu

“Leadership is a sacred stewardship of the common good. It is a responsibility to uplift and a duty to protect, not a license to demean

or divide. During this month of celebration, we must remain unyielding in our conviction. Xenophobia and the questioning of a person's loyalty based on national origin have no place in the halls of government or

in the heart of our community. We can and must disagree on policy without diminishing the humanity of those who serve alongside us. I stand firmly with Delegate Dr. Wu, a dedicated public servant whose heritage and

contributions are part of the very fabric of our community.

Let us choose the dignity of inclusion over the politics of division."
